Mp3 Scams Don’t get Ripped Off Over the years as the online world has continued to grow so has its large amount of new scams and scam artists. But unfortunately it’s the world we now live in and if you haven’t been ripped off yet I would have to say it’s only a matter of time. I just wanted to talk a little about the mp3 player scams out there. I’m sure you’re well aware of them by now but for those who aren’t let me give you a few “heads up” on this matter. Most of you probably already know about the fake iPods that are still lurking out there. By “fake” I mean the mp3 players that contain the name brand trademarks and logo that come off looking as the real deal. If you ask me they have completely saturated the market on places such as eBay and other similar commerce/auction websites and those are the places you have to be most careful with. But in their defense they have done what they can to weed out all the bad nuggets. Here’s my suggestion to you, if you find a crazy deal on a name brand mp3 player that claims to be new/sealed read the fine print! I’m not saying that it’s most likely a rip off but just double/Triple check to see if the seller has excellent credibility and even then make sure you re-read everything and ask questions. There are quite a few people out there that have been fooled into thinking they’re buying an authentic mp3 player when in fact it’s the total opposite. A good rule of thumb is to check for warranty status and serial/model numbers in the description for you to check its authenticity. So what about the no brand name mp3 players? Are they fake? No. And the reason for this being that the trademarks and logos have not been misinterpreted or labeled as the name brand mp3 player. These are strictly mp3 players in the same/similar style and or fashion. You know exactly what it is and what you’re getting. Yes they’re legit and work great and at the same time you know you didn’t buy a real fake knock off. Some things that you need to look out for are misleading words. This is a real BIG one and probably the most common. You find a nice name brand mp3 player, by reading it’s title or description you may conclude that it is the real thing because of the smart wordings such as “iPod Like..” “2nd Generation” “iPod accessories” those who didn’t look further into the product end up finding out that the words were just thrown in there to draw your eyes in. Take note of this! Learn from it and just stay a little extra weary but open minded. This isn’t to scare you it’s simply a guide to help you make the right choices when misconception can over power us and lead into an unhappy experience or purchase. Sellers selling the fakes can/have really hurt and ruin the credibility of real legit retailers. The negative viral effect of the fake stuff out there is diminishing the quality of the affordable no name brand merchandise. As stated previously, feel free and open minded but remember when buying from commerce websites to just read, re-read, double check, read the fine print if any, and ask questions. No name brand electronics offer an excellent high quality experience, just take the right approach in purchasing one, know what you’re looking for and you’ll be more then happy with your product.
