Double checking for the wrong size

Here is something that needs to be addressed!  Memory capacity - or the amount an mp3 player can hold to its maximum.  I’ve had a former customer come up to me and tell me an experience they had with their name brand mp3 player that stated a certain amount of memory space when in fact it end up being one of the lower ones.  This is an issue that I had to deal with when conducting QC tests on my mp3 players.  It’s a horrible situation to be in.

Now remember, this doesn’t necessarily mean it pertains particularly to brand name mp3 players, this happens with all sorts of electronics that use memory space.  It can be an honest mistake or you’re just being had, either way it’s difficult to know so I just wanted to explain this.

When you’re dealing with your newly bought mp3 player the first thing you want to do is plug it into your computer and let the pop up screen come.  You want to right click on the hard drive icon and check its memory capacity.  If it shows the correct amount you want double check by loading it completely with as many files as possible to check its real capacity.

This can take a few minutes so let it run its process.  IF you have noticed that the amount only loaded was 2GB’s and you bought a 4GB then you could have received a rip off, but before we jump to conclusions on this, try reformatting your mp3 player and retrying this process.

If you receive the same results then contact where you purchased your player from ASAP and demand a refund.  Hopefully you can receive a refund or if you’re dealing with a credible retailer then you can request to receive a replacement and get a free gift added in for the troubles.

The thing here is to notice what the label says; I know this can be a mistake and probably was, but it’s something of a difficult issue to deal with prior to purchasing.  The best thing you can do is follow the time table for the refund policy, run the tests and check the results.
