Yep that’s right! Mp4 watch players!  At the time of writing, a few months ago I had no clue about such a
thing.  I was retailing mp3 and mp4 players but I had never heard or even seen an mp4 watch before.  Trust me when I say this… they look A LOT cooler, fashionable, and look high tech once you have them in hand.  Everyone I showed it to would just continue looking at it and couldn’t believe what music players where coming to.

A change was needed in this era of music players and sure enough the change came.  It was only a matter of time before something like the mp4 watch player came out.  Basically, what you’re looking at is an mp4 player and all its features combined into a watch.  Some are even equipped with a camera as well.

So who’s it for?

Even though it’s all “high techie” looking, a lot of buyers would purchase this for their kids.  Maybe because the screens are quite big with the Mp4’s or maybe they just new that no matter what they couldn’t go wrong with buying a watch that plays videos.  Don’t get me wrong though, these mp4 watch players are for everyone, it’s based on your taste and style.  Me personally, I love stuff like this!  If it has that high tech look to it, I’m on it.

These mp4 watch players also tell you the time and date once they’re in stand by mode, which you can manually adjust with pushing one of the buttons given or you can adjust the stand by mode time just like on a computer.

Most of them come equipped with the new OLED technology.  This is one area these mp4 players have an advantage over conventional music players.  The screen has so much more depth with added color.  This makes the movie playing experience a little better then your regular LCD type screens.

As for your other function abilities they’re pretty much all adapted from a regular mp4 player.  The one thing that these watches do have is the cool new stainless steel version.  Both the belt and face plate come fully covered.  Just based on its looks and feel this watch sets itself apart from the others.  It also gives the options for adjusting the links for different wrist sizes.

Most of these mp4 watch players have one thing in common… the screen size.  They’re either a 1.5” or 1.8” screens.  It may seem a little big and this can end up
looking a little too bulky for some, but when you actually put one on, they fit quite nicely.  If the size of the screen is a big issue there is an alternative you can look to, mp3 watches.  These are much more regular in size and offer the same functions as an mp3 player with the time and date.  They look really nice and no one could tell the difference from a regular stainless steel watch compared to one of these mp3 watches.  Everything remains the same except you give up the video capability.

Should I get one?

 

If you’ve been searching for a nice spiffy mp4 digital player then I’m sure you’ve probably come across quite a handful of them so far.  Like mp3 players, they also come in many different styles and with a huge list of functions.  If it’s the total package of music and videos you’re after then an mp4 player is what you need!  Which one should you go with?

When it comes to an mp4 digital player, picking one that you like shouldn’t be a difficult decision.  In most
digital players when you look at its abilities, most of them are all similar to one another.  There will be a couple functions or added features that stand out from the rest of the bunch but for the most part you can’t go wrong.

So let’s ask you this…  What are you going to be using it for, will you be using its full fled features or just strictly for music?  If you really think you just need something for music while you work out or for your basic “music bumping” needs then you’re at the wrong place, I would recommend a decent mp3 player with excellent audio sound and high quality head phones.  But! If you’re stuck at the cubicle all day and want to watch some movies then an mp4 digital player is exactly what you need.

The Capacity:  What memory size should I get?

To get some decent movies into an mp4 player I would recommend at least a 4GB Gigabytes to actually get the most out of your music and movie needs.  With at least 4GB you would be able to fit at least 500-600 songs and still be able to add 3+ movies in. Pretty nice huh?!

Software:  What can I expect to get?

Usually with these media players come a nice little software bundle.  And in my experience they work
great.  You can get nice video converting software and also a nice photo converting software free, but I also have noticed that they don’t always come in the CD.  So if you have already purchased an mp4 player but don’t have photo video converting software then stay tuned as you will be able to download some free software here.  Also, usually these players have drivers on the CD so you can update them on you’re media player.  If you can’t get yours to update or work check back here soon as I am putting together an mp4 driver’s page for

Functions: The amazing abilities

I’m sure you’ve already seen or know someone who has bought an Apple mp4 player.  They work great but when I compare it to others on the market it comes up short on the functions and added features list, not to mention the HUGE price difference.  If it’s over all value you’re after and/or getting the best bang for your buck, then I would recommend the no brand name type of mp4 digital players.  Why? Tell me something… can you really turn down a camera on an mp4 player?  How about an e-book reader? Or lyric display, voice recorder and a whole lot more with a much lower price and more memory capacity.

Don’t let the name brand fool you… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s overly hyped based on the
name.  Get what you want, how you want it, and more then you asked for!  Oh and one more thing, my favorite in these other digital players are the new sleek designs, with touch button heat sink ability and also touch screen ability… how’s that for added value.

You can easily get 3 times more out of your mp4 digital player with these no name brand types all for a lower price.  Go ahead search around, look online and compare for yourself. You’ll notice that you can find something that not only catches your eye but offers you flexibility at an affordable price.

Ok so you’re wondering… what’s
the deal with these no name brand mp3 portable players that exist?!  Where do
they come from?  And can they be trusted?  Well let’s get into it a little…

Where they come from:

ALL mp3 players you see
(whether it be online or offline) that is not exclusively owned by the big

companies out there come straight from over seas.  Usually they all come from
Hong Kong, China but are also made in other countries such as Taiwan, Korea, the
Philippines… etc.

I know what a lot of you are
probably thinking when you read that.  “What’s the quality like?”  “Do they
